This stand gets high marks for comfort and for good looks. To begin talking about the stand, the footrest can ease an aching back, but its installation requires that the customer drill the stand. However it does not take a lot of work to do and it is definitely worth it. Also, the backrest indeed improves the unit's comfort and helps keep the hunter's back warm. While the stand was moderately noisy to set up and climb with, once it is in place and every thing is cinched up with the supplied strap, it is quiet to hunt in.
The Loggy Bayou XTC is one of the easiest of all the Loggy Bayou tree stands out there to shoot a bow from while sitting down, primarily due to the lack of any siderails. All other shooting, bow or rifle, was also easy with no interference from the stand. The stand backpacks well with the straps included and is not too heavy. If you need a good priced climber, that will last you for years to come, and you for any reason need one especially light. Then Loggy Bayou tree stands are the way to go.
