They have many distinct advantages such as keeping you warm and dry. There are some situations where you many not need waders to wade into the water, but for most cases you can always use fly fishing waders to get into the water. Another added use for them is for waterfowl hunters, these can often times be the same waders you use for fishing. So you can have a two for one sort of deal just by buying a certain type of waders.
The waders I am mainly talking about are chest waders, to me they are safer than just hip waders. There is nothing wrong with either though, hip waders are cheaper and if you may not be going into deeper water, then that might be the way to go. Any of these types of waders are available online.
Fly fishing waders usually range price wise from about twenty five to about one hundred and fifty dollars. Depending on if they are camoflauge or not, and what exactly they are made from. That is completely up to you to decide what you want specifically on your fishing waders. Many of the fishing waders now are breathable as well, so that is another added bonus of the new fly fishing waders that are out there.
So if you fishing cold water or weather, or you need to wade into the water to reach those fish, you may want to buy some fly fishing waders.
