- Weigh and Mounting - You probably won't leave your hunting tripod out in the woods, so if you plan on carrying it to a remote location, you should consider its weight. Make sure it has good and secure mounts or a wind gust might knock it over with you in it.
- Padded gun rest - This will do wonders for your aiming. Plus if you bump it with your gun it won't make a loud noise if it was plain metal. This is good for not scaring away animals.
- Seat and Leg room - These definitely need to be considered when you're looking for a hunting tripod. If you plan on setting in it for hours at a time, then you don't want an aching back or cramped legs.
- Camo covers - These are another option for your hunting tripod. Sometimes the manufacturer makes specialty camo hunting blinds for your specific tripod. Be sure to check the camo patterns available and how many windows they have.
