You do not usually hear much about hunting deer in Alabama, in television hunting shows they go to Alabama every once in awhile, but for the most part, is left out of the television circuit as is many top notch states in this country for taking nice whitetails. Another thing to consider about Alabama deer hunting is that the rut, which is the best time in the season usually to see mature bucks during the daylight, is later on in the year compared to most states that are typically in November.
Alabama's rut is later on which allows hunters to travel to Alabama to hunt an additional rut and double your odds of taking big bucks in the same year. Just don't forget to get your buck Alabama license!
Alabama's season starts later than most other states and they have a pretty lengthy gun season too. There are many paid hunts that you can have arranged almost anywhere in the state not to mention there is public land and forests you can check out as well. So if you are willing to travel to Alabama, you many just find that buck of a lifetime in a state that is not as publicized as Kansas, Illinois, and Texas and probably save a lot of money doing it.
