First for the pro side of it. When you go to Texas to hunt, you usually can go with a few other people and all that good stuff, but you can meet some nice genuine people that are being paid to try to help you on your quest for that trophy animal. Then there is variety. Texas has so many, and I mean so many types of hunting and fishing options to do. Their seasons are usually longer and overlap with other game animals. Deer, hog, exotics, and fishing just to name a few things to do. The success rate in Texas is usually higher and you know that there are some quality ranches in Texas because the television shows are always in Texas at different ranches and always seem to have a good time.
On the flip side, some of us really cannot afford to take a trip to hunting ranches in Texas for a hunting vacation. Or some of us choose not to because well, we either want to get that trophy buck in our home state or choose to try some other state other than Texas like for instance Illinois or Kansas. Some may feel that it takes away from the challenge to pay that much money to kill an animal and also that challenge to some of us to take the buck from "our backyard."
Well no matter how you feel about it, deciding to go hunt ranches in Texas ultimately comes down to you. Whatever decision you make, make the most of it.
