Don't forget good lures, baits, and plastic worms when fishing

By Kevin B.

If there was one lure to take with you to the bass waters, it would have to be the plastic worm, they can single handedly bail you out of any fishing condition and situation. It's simple, they will work when nothing else will.

Who knows how many largemouth I have caught just this past summer off of a bass stopper lure, which is a plastic worm with three hooks on it. They are so effective because unlike other plastic worms, you can set the hook as soon as you feel that you are getting hit. Whereas you would normally have to wait for the fish to take the whole worm and then you can set the hook.

Lures baits worms plastics are the go to choice for many anglers. They are usually only a couple bucks each and they come in all shapes and sizes and colors. I used to never use plastics baits, but now just like the four pounders I have been catching, I am hooked! Our merchants have an excellent variety of plastics baits to choose from, just keep it simple and on overcast days use bright colors and on sunny days match the color of the worm as much as possible.

My personal favorite color for all conditions is the purple worm with a hint of pink or white on it. That is the colors that have consistently caught me fish and brought in my big bass time after time.
