It was developed by Howard Worden in the late 1950's, with lots of Rooster Tails that have since been sold and used by anglers to catch everything from bass ( they are the perfect Megabass fishing lures ) and trout to perch and pike. Worden's Lil' Corky and Spin-N-Glo drift bobbers are standard fare with steelhead and salmon anglers working the rivers of the Northwest, the Great Lakes, and in the Northeast.
And walleye anglers are now making them an important part of their rigs as well. The Flatfish (which is the original Flatfish designed in the 1930's by Charles Helin) has been around and catching fish for decades and Worden's new Timber Tiger series of deep and shallow water crankbaits incorporates the latest in lure design and technology. Rooster fish lures can be bought by big time fishing retailers, so check them out and give them a try, you may be surprised how effective they really are.
