Try fishing belturbet Ireland for a unique trip

By Kevin B.

Fishing Belturbet Ireland is a totally different and very special experience. It is full of wandering rivers, streams and tree-lined lakes that provide you an excellent variation of quality fishing and boating. The county of Belturbet has three hundred and sixty five lakes, that would be somewhat of a comparison to Minnesota here in the states, which has 10,000 lakes in the state.

The word on the street is that the lakes with rivers and loughs offer the best overall fishing, such lakes are Cavan and Monaghan. This is drumlin country and the big attraction is the wide range of species available including pike, perch, tench, rudd, bream, roach, hybrids and eels. The depths reach around 15 to 20 feet and these rivers and lakes are hosts to many fishing tournaments throughout the year but mainly the summer time.

There is also a fly fishing stretch that is loaded with stocks of rainbows and some wild brown trout. The stretch is controlled by Belturbet Trout Angling Association. Fishing Belturbet is definitely worth hitting up if you are in Ireland for any reason and you are a pretty serious angler. It just seems like a unique experience. May the luck of the Irish be with you!
