Two Newport News men missing after fishing boat sinks off N.J. (The Virginian-Pilot)
By Bruce Shipkowski TOMS RIVER, N.J. The U.S. Coast Guard has suspended its search for two Virginia crewmen missing after their fishing boat was hit by a big wave and sank off southern New Jersey. Coast Guard aircraft and rescue boats searched for about 24 hours before suspending operations Thursday night.

Book Review: Ken Waters' Pet Loads
"Ken Waters' Pet Loads" is a very thorough collection of load info, with a wealth of practical advice and information included. There are many cartridges covered here, but if you're looking for the newest cartridges, chances are you should look elsewhere and/or buy the latest supplements to this book.
I think the part I like the best is Waters' straight-talking way - as you may know, that's the way I like to communicate myself. Ken Waters knows his stuff, and he's not afraid to share his valuable info and viewpoint.

Are Tungsten Fishing Weights Worth the Cost?
Tungsten fishing weights are very expensive. Are they worth the added cost over traditional lead weights? Captain Mike Gerry says they give you more sensitivity and come through cover better than lead. He says they are worth the extra cost.

Catching Christmas Hybrids
Hybrids are some of the strongest fish in freshwater. They feed good in the winter and fight hard. A cross between a white bass and a striper, they are stocked in many lakes. I have been catching them for years during Christmas Holidays and they ways I have found to catch them should work for you.
