State officials: New junior hunting program proves successful (The Palladium-Times)
More than 15,000 youth across the state took advantage of the new junior big game hunting licenses, which were made available for the first time this hunting season. The law, passed in July, allows 14 and 15 year-old hunters to go after big game, such as deer and bears, under the supervision of someone older than 21.
