Riverside at Rio Grande Club Announces: Adventures Away from the Crowds and High Prices

Rediscover Colorado at her best. Adventures abound in Colorado – many of which are waiting to be discovered far away from the busy I-70 corridor. With a major interstate transporting skiers through central Colorado to ultra-expensive and excessively popularized ski slopes, the I-70 stretch has become overcrowded, overpriced and overhyped. But a short drive to the south reveals an abundance of outdoor excitement without the crowds and for a fraction of the cost. (PRWeb Dec 18, 2009)

North Florida Deer Hunt

Time sure flies when you're having fun! It's been almost six years since this hunt, and it sure doesn't seem that long ago. As long as the cold rain was falling, I kept seeing deer... and it rained most of the time...

Winter Bass Tournament Fishing
Winter bass tournaments are tough but catching one fish is often enough to place in my club tournaments. Several winter tournament results prove this point but there is always an exception to that rule. A recap of one of my tournaments shows how tough it can be at times.

Ultralight Fishing
Ronnie Garrison and fish pictures When the fishing gets tough the tough get ultralight fishing tackle out. At least that is the way I deal with tough bass fishing conditions. A bass tournament at Clarks Hill showed me how good fishing can be with ultralight fishing tackle.

Inactive Winter Bass
Catching bass in the winter is tough. I have a rule of thumb about water temperatures. If the temperature is above 50 degrees F I am confident I can catch bass. If it is between 45 and 50 my hope fades but I think I might get lucky and catch one. If the water temperature is below 45 I don't have much hope at all.
