Letter From an Anti
When this letter showed up a few years back, I just had to reply... and why limit my reply to someone who probably didn't care what I had to say? So, I decided to put my reply on my site. After all, the death wishes expressed by the letter writer really needed to be publicly aired - and refuted.

The Bassmasters Classic - Close Don't Count
The Bassmasters Classic is arguably the most important tournament in bass fishing. It is being held this year at Lay Lake in Alabama. Amateur fishermen have a chance to qualify for this tournament through the Federation Nation club route. I came within one bass of making it to the Classic 25 years ago. I often wonder how my life and fishing would have been different if I had qualified way back then.
This article has links to several more articles about the Classic and to BASS pages that will keep you updated.

Fish Are Sea Kittens?
The animal rights group People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) has started a new campaign to equate fish to kittens. They are trying to get gullible people to call fish "sea kittens" and insist you and I stop fishing since we are cruel to fish. All this from a group that kills sea kittens and puppies and throws them in dumpsters after claiming they are taking them to shelters.
