HYSKORE Announces a Recoil Free Tactical and Varmint Shooting Rest
Hyskore will introduce the Dead Eye Tactical and Varmint shooting rest at the 2010 SHOT Show. According to Hyskore spokesman Ted Werner, recoil discomfort separates many people from fully enjoying shooting sports. Even an experienced rifle shooter (www.hyskore.com) may notice a flinch when the firing pin falls on a dud . A shooting rest (www.hyskore.com) that absorbs recoil solves this problem. Lampe: Solving the paradox of ice fishing (Peoria Journal Star)
As with most aspects of life, there is irony in ice fishing. Although you need sub-freezing temperatures to form hard water, you often need warmer weather for fish to really start biting well. Do We Have A New Record Bass?
Last July a potential world record bass was caught in Japan. The IGFA, the official fish record keepers, has been studying the application for this fish as a new world record for over four months and will announce its decision on Friday, January 8, 2010 at 1:30 PM EST.
The current world record was caught by George Perry in Georgia. It has stood for over 70 years. Although a bigger bass was caught in California a few years ago, it was snagged and did not qualify for the record, to it was never entered.
The IGFA press conference about the decision will be shown live on Bassmaster.com
What do you think about the world record? Some say fish stocked outside their native range should not be considered for the record. Others say fish caught in any method, not just on sporting tackle following IGFA rules, should be considered.
