Should I Shoot a Scoped Rifle With Both Eyes Open?

I've been asked this question more than once. And while I've never been able to do it myself with any success, it does work well for some people. Question is, which way is the right way to shoot? Let's find out!

Megabass Vision One Ten Jerkbait

Broken Megabass Vision One Ten I bought four of these expensive jerkbaits and the first one I used broke on the second fish I caught. They have great action and flash but are developing a reputation for being fragile. At $25 each they are too expensive to use if they do not hold up any better than this one did. The picture shows the one that broke - the bill is missing.

I like Guns!

One of my bro-in-laws sent me a link to this YouTube music video, and I thought it was good enough to share here - which is pretty notable, because it doesn't happen very often. Thanks, Bill!

He likes guns, and he wants 'em all. I know where he's coming from. As Dad always said: If it shoots, I like it!

A few sample lyrics:

"I don't really get all the fuss, why they're tryin' to take the guns off of us. 'Cause I ain't gonna shoot anyone - and no one shoots at me, 'cause I got a gun."

Enjoy.

Check out the I like Guns! video.

Buying a Gun Online

Over the past 14 months or so, American citizens bought a tremendous number of guns, showing that they fear Obama and his administration, and expect their rights to be even further trod upon by this extremely power-hungry administration. If you're among those who'd like to buy a gun, and are interested in doing so online, check out this article. It might help you get a better deal or a better gun, and it should certainly let you know what to expect.

Do We Have A New Record Bass?
World Record Bass Pictures Last July a potential world record bass was caught in Japan. The IGFA, the official fish record keepers, has been studying the application for this fish as a new world record for over four months and will announce its decision on Friday, January 8, 2010 at 1:30 PM EST.

The current world record was caught by George Perry in Georgia. It has stood for over 70 years. Although a bigger bass was caught in California a few years ago, it was snagged and did not qualify for the record, to it was never entered.

The IGFA press conference about the decision will be shown live on Bassmaster.com

What do you think about the world record? Some say fish stocked outside their native range should not be considered for the record. Others say fish caught in any method, not just on sporting tackle following IGFA rules, should be considered.

Fishing in the Winter

Cold Weather Bass This article is from about five years ago. Things have not changed much since then, other than the fact I no longer have a chat room here. I wrote about fishing lake Sinclair in the winter back then and catching one bass in a club tournament. I fished Sinclair yesterday working on a Georgia Outdoor News article and landed one keeper. At least I am consistent!
