Hunting & Fishing Commentary
Winter Bass Patterns
Bass fishing this time of year can be real frustrating here in the south. Some warm days make you think the fish should be active but you can get fooled easily. Sometimes it does pay off to go bass fishing in the winter. Whether you catch fish or not it is better than sitting home!
My rule of thumb is if the water is over 50 bass bite pretty good, if it is 45 to 50 you might get a bite or two and if it is under 45 you will get a lot of casting practice without catching much. That only applies to the area I fish in middle Georgia and is my opinion. What do you think?
I had one of my best ever January tournaments this past Sunday, catching a five fish limit weighing 13.63 pounds, anchored by a 5.87 pound largemouth. You can read the play-by-play in the forum - you can read as a guest or log in.

North Florida Deer Hunt
Time sure flies when you're having fun! It's been almost six years since this hunt, and it sure doesn't seem that long ago. As long as the cold rain was falling, I kept seeing deer... and it rained most of the time...

Buying a Gun Online
Over the past 14 months or so, American citizens bought a tremendous number of guns, showing that they fear Obama and his administration, and expect their rights to be even further trod upon by this extremely power-hungry administration. If you're among those who'd like to buy a gun, and are interested in doing so online, check out this article. It might help you get a better deal or a better gun, and it should certainly let you know what to expect.

Review: 40" Bipod Shooting Sticks
Not all shooting sticks are created equal - trust me. These are right up my alley... they're simple, but very versatile. This can be a bipod, monopod, or diagonal mono rest (running diagonally from the rifle to your belt area) of varying length. The neoprene case it comes with doubles as a holster for the end of the rest when you use it that way. In short, this is the best bipod product I have ever seen.

Hunting Game Review: Deer Drive for Wii
Deer Drive for the Nintendo Wii console is less about hunting and more about shooting. You definitely do a lot of shooting! In fact, it often feels like an electronic shooting gallery. It does have some twists that have a little something to do with hunting, but they're more confusing than anything else. For example, "Breath Control" slows down time. Um... why? That hardly ever happens in real life.
