Destin.ZapGuide.org is Users' Connection to Everything Destin - in an Instant

The city of Destin is a vibrant and vital community, yet to many it is still a well kept secret. The renowned Fodors.com website features only three restaurants in their 2009 Destin review! Navigating typical yellow pages type directory sites also yields incomplete and inaccurate information. The creators of Destin.ZapGuide.org think Destin deserves better - particularly in light of Florida's Emerald Coast having just been named as the only continental US location among "Frommer's Top Destinations 2010". Building a Muzzleloader

The Kit, When I First Opened it

Several years back, I built myself a smokepole from a kit... a CVA Hawken .50-caliber muzzleloading rifle. While I was at it, I took a bunch of photos and spent more than a couple hours writing about it. The result is seventeen pages of really good stuff, which has helped more than one person put together his own gun. Check it out... I think you'll enjoy it.

Worm Hooks for Bass Fishing

Worm Hooks Like most bass fishermen I carry several styles of hooks for different kinds of fishing and have a wide variety of sizes in my tackle box. I also carry a couple of kinds of hook sharpeners but most hooks you buy now are sharp enough when new. I sharpen them after fishing around rocks and other hard cover that can dull them.

Worm hooks come in a wide variety of styles, shaped and sizes. Sometimes it can get very confusing which one is best. Some have very specific applications while others fit a lot of different kinds of worm fishing. Pick the one that is best for your type of fishing and land more bass.

Review: 40" Bipod Shooting Sticks

Not all shooting sticks are created equal - trust me. These are right up my alley... they're simple, but very versatile. This can be a bipod, monopod, or diagonal mono rest (running diagonally from the rifle to your belt area) of varying length. The neoprene case it comes with doubles as a holster for the end of the rest when you use it that way. In short, this is the best bipod product I have ever seen.

Magnum, Defined

"It's a magnum."

Okay... so what? What does that mean, anyhow?

This article ought to help folks understand what "magnum" means as it applies to guns and ammunition. For the most part, it's a marketing term that originally meant "bigger and better," but just because a cartridge has "magnum" attached to its name doesn't necessarily mean it's the best thing ever.
