Ice Fishing Safety

Ice Fishing Ice fishing can be fun but it can be dangerous. Brian Knippers has experience on the ice and offers some suggestions on staying safe. For this Georgia fisherman ice fishing sounds like fun but a little frightening, too. I will definitely follow Brian's advice if I ever get a chance to go. The pictures Brian has sent in really makes me want to give it a try.

Worm Hooks for Bass Fishing

Worm Hooks Like most bass fishermen I carry several styles of hooks for different kinds of fishing and have a wide variety of sizes in my tackle box. I also carry a couple of kinds of hook sharpeners but most hooks you buy now are sharp enough when new. I sharpen them after fishing around rocks and other hard cover that can dull them.

Worm hooks come in a wide variety of styles, shaped and sizes. Sometimes it can get very confusing which one is best. Some have very specific applications while others fit a lot of different kinds of worm fishing. Pick the one that is best for your type of fishing and land more bass.

How To Load a Traditional Muzzleloading Black Powder Rifle

As time goes by, there seems to be a shift of attention in some folks' minds from modern inline muzzleloaders to some that are more old-fashioned. After all, they're old-timey, and the modern poppers just ain't. And while they share many features with the new guns (after all, they all load from the front), there are some things that are unique to the older traditional types.

Energizer Night Strike Handheld Light Goes Bonkers

Last night, I published a post linking to three new flashlight reviews. Well, something happened later that night... namely, the Night Strike Handheld light lost its mind! It decided it was a good idea to turn itself on and then ignore the switch when I tried to turn it off. I don't need some of that.

Naturally, I had to edit the review to reflect this new experience, and thought you might be interested. Here's a link to the revised review of the Energizer Night Strike Handheld.

Hunting Game Review: Deer Drive for Wii

Deer Drive for the Nintendo Wii console is less about hunting and more about shooting. You definitely do a lot of shooting! In fact, it often feels like an electronic shooting gallery. It does have some twists that have a little something to do with hunting, but they're more confusing than anything else. For example, "Breath Control" slows down time. Um... why? That hardly ever happens in real life.
