"It's a magnum."
Okay... so what? What does that mean, anyhow?
This article ought to help folks understand what "magnum" means as it applies to guns and ammunition. For the most part, it's a marketing term that originally meant "bigger and better," but just because a cartridge has "magnum" attached to its name doesn't necessarily mean it's the best thing ever.

Free iPhone/iPod Touch app: What Knot to do
Here's something nifty... a handy-dandy application to teach you how to tie all kinds of different knots, which I've noticed is something many folks have trouble with. And guess what? It's free! Ain't that nice?
This app is provided by Columbia Sportswear. They say it contains info on 70 knots, including step-by-step instructions and illustrations. I checked out some of 'em, and the instructions seem pretty easy to follow. Check it out if you've got an iPhone or iPod Touch, and want to learn how to tie some nifty and useful knots.
