Buying a Boat
It is often said the two happiest days in a boat owners life are the day he buys the boat and the day he sells it. Buying a boat brings out all kinds of emotions, some good and some bad. Some of us go through the process several times and others find once is enough. I have bought seven bass boats, four new ones and three used ones, and each one is special in many ways. Here are some of the emotions I feel when buying a bass boat.

Review - BoreSnake Gun Bore Cleaner

Ah, the BoreSnake. I've seen it just about everywhere gun stuff is sold. Haven't you? It's that thing that looks like a tapered braided rope, with a weighted string on one end, with a bore brush embedded into the rope.

While it's no replacement for your cleaning rod, it sure is handy for a quick bore cleaning at camp or on the range.

Is President Obama Going To Ban Sport Fishing?
There is much outcry from both conservative and liberal groups about the possibility of Obama banning sport fishing. An ESPN blog got it started and many on both sides have run with it. The controversy revolves around the ending of the public comment period for a policy group studying what to do about fishing zones and where you can and can not fish.

Fishing has already been banned by the Bush administration in some areas. This was done supposedly to protect endangered or threatened fish species. One comment on the liberal Media Matters site asks "When did fishing become a right?" Actually, many states, including mine here in Georgia, have passed constitutional amendments that say hunting and fishing is a right.

Read both sides of this controversy and then share your thoughts in the comments section below.
