Sightron S1 3x-9x 40mm Rifle Scope Review
This scope is a good one, especially for the money. My first one (on my Savage Sierra 308) has served me well and I've taken a number of critters with it over four deer hunting seasons. I mounted another one on Thumper (my Marlin 45-70), and I put a glossy one on Dad's old BAR 30-06 last year - and I took deer with both of those rifles in 2009.

Who are Hunters?
Who are hunters? What do they do for wildlife, habitat, and for folks who don't even hunt? A lot. Through things like a ten-to-eleven percent excise tax on guns and ammunition, American hunters foot the bill for projects that benefit millions of non-hunters across the USA... and they're very likely your neighbors and co-workers.

Gore Optifade Concealment Camo and Sitka Gear Review

This past hunting season, I tried a selection of Sitka gear with the new digital Gore Optifade Concealment camo. Some of it worked great, some could have been better, but it was all of high quality. And I had some chances to take deer and hog at close range while wearing it, so Gore's new camo pattern (their first-ever) might even be as great as they claim. Check out this review to see what I think of this latest-and-greatest gear.

Creel Census Bass Tournament Fishing Reports

Georgia and Alabama bass clubs keep creel census reports and send them in to the state DNRs where they are compiled each year. You may get a surprising picture of club tournament fishing if you study these reports. Bass club fishermen don't hurt the resource based on what we catch! The reports in Georgia have been amazingly consistent since 1982 when they were started.
