Gulf tragedy brews uncertainty in fishing industry
Larry Fernandes, co-owner of Bridgeport Lobster and Shellfish with a yellowfin tuna at his store at 288 Knowlton Street in Bridgeport. Fernandes said that the oil spill has shut down fishing in the Gulf of Mexico, the source of much of the seafood in the Northeast during the winter months.
