Enjoy and Savor Hunting With Family and Friends

I sometimes enjoy hunting alone, but it's really best shared with family and friends. I spent the first few decades of my hunting experience with a man who became my best friend as he taught me about hunting, offered encouragement and hope, and was always there for me. Then one day, that came to an end, and though the end didn't come quickly, it still hit like a ton of bricks.

I wrote this article two years ago, as I faced my first hunting season without my father. I hope you take from it this one thing: Enjoy what you have, while you have it - and above all the people with whom you have it.
