A Western Australian Liberal Senator has called for helicopter and boat patrols along Australia’s coastline to help combat illegal fishing.

While this doesn’t matter much to hobby fisherman, it’s fishing news non-the-less.

Two Indonesian boats were confiscated in Australia for potential illegal fishing after local fisherman tipped off the authorities. If it’s determined what they were doing was illegal, their boats will be destroyed and the crew could face fines & penalities.

They didn’t want all of their fish taken. They’re just jealous!
