Illegal fishing is no joke

Saturday, September 17th, 2005

While this doesn’t matter much to hobby fisherman, it’s fishing news non-the-less.

Two Indonesian boats were confiscated in Australia for potential illegal fishing after local fisherman tipped off the authorities. If it’s determined what they were doing was illegal, their boats will be destroyed and the crew could face fines & penalities.

They didn’t want all of their fish taken. They’re just jealous!

Hey poachers! How’s 5 years in jail sound?

Monday, September 5th, 2005

How’s this for justice: a company was just fined a ton of money and it’s director sentenced to 5 years in jail for illegal fishing.

It’s nice to see justice being served for people taking advantage of our environment unjustly.

Hopefully this will be the standard to come!

No SSN. No Fishing in Montana.

There’s no real moral to this story, I just thought it was worth sharing with everyone.

What’s the world coming to when you can’t go fishing without fearing your identity being stolen!

Bird flu causing hunting bans

Perhaps this trend will continue, but hopefully not. Hunting waterfowl is being banned outside of the USA in some locations on concerns of spreading the bird flu.

While the USA has largely been uneffected by this epidemic, it certainly is not immune to these issues.

Keep your eyes peeled for future updates on this topic.

More States Relaxing Deer Hunting Gun Laws

Thursday, August 11th, 2005

Iowa is the latest state to allow higher powered rifles, even assault rifles, to hunt deer in the southern part of the state where human population is decreasing, but deer numbers are blossoming.

Meanwhile, other states have been extending their deer gun season to compensate for rises in deer population.

Just watch out for that guy blazing up the woods with an AK-47…
